Large Wyganowski, Poland, Hand-made Oxidised and Gold-plated Silver Earrings
The large modern, hand-made, designer, gold-plated and oxidised, sterling silver drop earrings have pins and butterflies. Each pin is mounted with a small, rounded rectangular element which supports two lengths of elongated cable chain, which, in turn support a holder. The pins, chains, rectangular elements and holders are all made of silver, heavily oxidised to a brownish black colour. The holders hold pendants made of wide silver strips bent into geometric forms. The silver strips are gold-plated on one side and lightly oxidised on the other. The earrings are unmarked. The butterflies are marked “925”. The earrings are handmade by Wyganowski Design, Poland.
Wyganowski Design was founded over 30 years ago by Alice and Jakub Wyganowski, who were involved at the time with many different design disciplines including ceramics and industrial forms, before specialising in hand-crafted fine gold and silver jewellery.
