Vintage “San Marino” Coin Bracelet
The vintage bracelet is made up of 21 San Marino coins. The coins are marked “REPUBLICA DI S. MARINO” and “R” on one side and “RESPUBLICA . SANCTI . MARINI . LIBERTAS. on the other. Twenty of the coins have small loops soldered on to them. They are linked through these by loops in such a way that the coins overlap to give a ‘scales’ effect. The bracelet ends with a coin on a length of chain on one end and a bolt-ring on the other. This arrangement allows the length of the bracelet to be varied. The bracelet is unmarked but tests to be composed of a white metal alloy containing copper, iron, nickel and silver.
