Vintage 9ct Gold and Shell Cameo Pendant Brooch
The vintage 9ct yellow gold pendant brooch has an oval, tube-set, shell cameo (35mm x 26mm), portrait of a young lady, finely carved with quite high relief. The frame is embellished at the cardinal points with eight, tube-set, round, cabochon polished, moonstones (approximately 5mm diameter – circa 0.8ct each) and four, mixed-cut, tube-set, citrine (approximately 5mm square – circa 0.7ct each). The pendant has a fixed gold bale, and also a gold needle so that it can be worn alternatively as a brooch. The pendant is marked “9CT”.
