Vintage 18ct Gold and Diamond “Movado” Dress Watch

The vintage 18ct yellow gold dress watch is composed of a broad bezel with a fixed, spiralling, wire fringe set with 12 round brilliant-cut diamonds (circa 0.08ct each, vs clarity, g-h colour). The bezel surrounds a white gold, domed lid, set with approximately 48 round brilliant-cut diamonds (circa 0.05ct each, VS clarity, G-H colour). This makes a combined total of about 60 diamonds, with a combined weight of circa 3.36ct. The domed lid opens to revel a small “Movado” cocktail watch face. The watch, a daily wind, is held in place by a hinge-and-clip system on the underside of the bezel. The bezel supports a hinged wrist-strap in two sections, which is composed of flexible, yellow gold, chevron-style links, the ends of which terminate in a tongue-and-box clasp, with two safety clips. the clasp is stamped “750” and other maker’s marks.
