Antique 9ct Yellow Gold T-bar Pendant

The plain 9ct yellow gold T-bar pendant is supported in the centre by, and rotates on, a decorative band. The central band has a fixed loop with hinged bale at the top. The pendant is stamped “9C”. T-bars were used in Victorian times at the end of an Albert chain (after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband) to allow the chain to be fixed to a button hole. The other end would support a pocket watch. Albert chains and T-bar pendants have since become fashionable, reinvented jewellery items.
