The modern 18ct white gold ring is set with a central, round, brilliant-cut diamond (approximately 4.6mm round – circa 0.40ct; colour H; clarity SI1) in a claw setting. The central diamond is set into a shank which is split at the front and joined at the back. This split shank is set with 32 diamonds which are in four sets of eight and which weigh a total of circa 0.50ct. The ring is marked “18K”
