Vintage Øystein Balle Gilt Silver and Enamel Brooch

The vintage, sterling silver gilt, brooch with red enamelling is in abstract modernist design. The brooch is marked “BALLE; 925S”. Øystein Balle, born in Stavanger, Norway (1928 - 1998) was a fine silversmith and enamellist whose finest work, with innovative designs, was produced in the 1960’s – 1970’s.
