Silver “St Christopher” Pendant on Chain
The vintage sterling silver necklace is made up of a fine silver curb chain with bolt-ring closure and a cast silver pendant with a raised figure of St Christopher and Christ child framed in a decorative surround. The pendant is round with a lobed rim, and has a small fixed loop and a hinged ring bale. The pendant is marked with 20th Century South African marks including a rider on a horse; “STG”; a hand with a sword and a what appears to be a gothic letter “U” which indicates 1969. The chain is marked “925; ERM” indicating sterling silver and a probably Italian maker.
