18ct Gold, Rose Quartz, Pearl and Aventurine Pendant Necklace
The pendant:
The vintage pendant / enhancer has an extensive, elaborately wound, decorative 18ct yellow gold twist-wire setting, around a large, slightly ovoid, rose quartz (circa 25mm diameter – circa 30ct), and seven round salt water pearls (6mm – 6.5mm diameter; white with good lustre and no significant blemishes). The pendant is surmounted by a small 9ct gold bolt ring, enabling it to be attached to a chain or necklace. The bolt ring is attached to the setting for the pearls and rose quartz via a small oval gold ring. The pendant has an indistinct 18ct mark on the small oval connecting link. The gold twist-wire of the pendant has been electronically scanned and tests to be 18ct yellow gold.

The necklace:
The necklace has an 18ct yellow gold bolt-ring closure with small, adjoining, 18ct rings, and it is made up of 80 pearls; 89 rose quartz beads; 24 small aventurine beads; seven larger aventurine beads; and 14, 3mm oxidised white metal alloy spacers with a beaded finish. The round, salt water pearls are in 16 groups of five each. They are 3.8mm – 4.4mm diameter; light cream in colour; and have good lustre, with no significant blemishes. The string is knotted between the pearls. The round, rose quartz beads are in 13 groups of six; one group of five and two groups of three, either side of the clasp. They are 3.8mm – 4.5mm diameter. The small round aventurine beads are in eight groups of three. The are circa 3.5mm diameter. The larger aventurine beads are seven singles and measure approximately 6mm diameter. The clasp and associated small rings are unmarked but test to be 18ct yellow gold.
