Sterling Silver and Marcasite “Tulip” Pendant with Curb Chain

The vintage, silver pendant has a tulip, with gilded flowerhead, in a marcasite studded, roughly diamond-shaped surround. The pendant has a small, fixed ring and hinged V-bale. The pendant is marked “830” indicating that it is made of 83% silver, a grade commonly used for jewellery in Continental Europe. The pendant hangs from a modern, sterling silver curb chain, that is marked “925” on the bolt ring, indicating sterling grade silver.
