Antique, Art Nouveau, Silver, Pearl and Turquoise Brooch

The antique, silver brooch has an open-work design and is from the Art Nouveau period. It is set with a cabochon oval turquoise (10mm x 6mm – circa 3.5ct). The brooch is also set with two seed pearls, and has a slightly baroque, cultured pearl pendant (6mm diameter). The brooch is marked with the sterling, lion passant mark; the hallmark for Birmingham; and the date letter for 1903. It is also marked with the maker’s mark “J.W”
