The modern hand-made ring is made of sterling silver. It is round, tubular and has two stripes of dark brown zericote wood set into it. The total width of the ring is 10.8mm with outer metal stripes (circa 2.4mm), followed by wood stripes (one circa 2.2mm and one circa 2.4mm), and a central metal stripe (circa 1.4mm). The ring is marked “SILVER; IVAN” and was hand-made by Ivan Mrkusic of Johannesburg. Due to the way this ring has been designed and manufactured, it cannot be resized.
