Vintage White Metal and Shell Cameo Pendant Brooch
The vintage white metal pendant has an oval, carved, shell cameo (approximately 30mm x 22.5mm) of a pretty, classical lady looking to her right. The cameo is tube-set into a decorative twist wire and open-work surround of white metal. At the back, the brooch is fitted with a small fixed loop and a hinged ring bale so that it can also be worn as a pendant. The brooch is poorly struck with a mark “.p 800” which might indicate that it is 800 silver, but the brooch has been electronically tested to show that it is a non-tarnishing white metal.
